Mrs. Willie M. Vines

Mrs. Willie Mae Canty Vines passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Heritage Inn Nursing Home, Sandersville, GA. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Brown officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Vines was born on February 20, 1930 to the parentage of the late Ms. Fannie Canty.

At an early age Mrs. Vines joined Smith Grove Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She was employed at Motel Clinton where she worked until retirement.

Mrs. Vines was preceded in death by her late husband Mr. Matthew Vines.

Mrs. Vines leaves to cherish her memories a son: Mr. William (Lula Mae) Canty, Sr., Harrison, GA; one grandson: Mr. William Canty, Jr., Harrison, GA; three great grandchildren: Miss Quinaria Horne, Miss Makayla Canty, Master Emauri Canty; sister-in-law: Ms. Otelia Vines, Detroit, MI; devoted cousins: Ms. Mattie Pearl Canty, Harrison, GA, Mr. Thomas Canty, Sr., Mr. Zackie Canty, Sr., Tennille, GA, Mrs. Ethel Porch, Norman Park, GA, Ms. Mattie Taylor, Macon, GA, Mrs. Annie B. Brown, Tennille, GA, Mrs. Mattie Bivins, Harrison, GA; three nieces: Mrs. Johnnie Kennedy, Harrison, GA, Mrs. Emma Wise, Hinesville, GA, Mrs. Minnie Jordan, Atlanta, GA; two nephews: Mr. Henry Outlaw, Mr. Willie Outlaw, Wrightsville, GA; devoted friends: Dea. & Sis. Purvey, Mrs. Lillian Hines, Mrs. Emmie Sampson, Ms. Bobbie Mearidy; several other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
