Mr. Clarence Hodges

Mr. Clarence Hodges passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Friday, July 21 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Wrightsville, Georgia with Rev. Jerry Walden officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. William Clarence Hodges of 1085 Joiner Rd, Tennille, Georgia, in the quietness of his room at Augusta University Hospital, exchanged this life for eternal life.

He was one of five children born to the parentage of the late Mr. Homer Hodges and the late Mrs. Lessie Hodges on July 21, 1929 in Johnson County, Georgia.

He was educated in the public school system of Johnson County. He was a deacon, minister of music and he assisted in other areas of the church.

Mr. Hodges is survived by five children: Mrs. Jacqueline (Billy) Sumlar, Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Bernice (Arthur) Walker, Mr. Albert Lee Latimore, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Lindsey (Joann) Landers, Harrison, Georgia, Mr. Alton Scott, Atlanta, Georgia. Several other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
