Mr. William Canty, Sr.

Mr. William Canty, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Toomsboro, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Brown officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Canty was born on April 19, 1947 to the parentage of the late Mr. Roy Wiley and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Vines.

At an early age Mr. Canty joined Smith Grove Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health failed. He graduated from Dock Kemp High School and later joined the United States Army.

William was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Lula Mae Horn on March 7, 2011.

Mr. Canty is survived by his wife: Mrs. Lula Mae Canty, Harrison, Georgia; son: Mr. William (ShaRonda) Canty, Jr., Harrison, Georgia; daughter: Ms. Carol Fantory, Detroit, Michigan; stepson: Mr. Glenn Wilcher, Harrison, Georgia; granddaughter: Miss Kayla Canty, East Dublin, Georgia; grandson: Master Emari Canty, East Dublin, Georgia; sister: Ms. Alma Jean Cason, Bartow, Georgia; several other relatives and friends.
