Mrs. Beverly Thompson

Mrs. Beverly Thompson passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with Rev. Rosetta Johnson Mackey officiating. Interment was held in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born on August 29, 1929 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the later Mr. Lee Scott and the late Mrs. Rebecca Pace Scott.

She attended Thomas Jefferson Elder High School and graduated from Levion School of Cosmetology, Augusta, Georgia in 1957. She owned and operated the Amazing Beauty Shop in the Tybee Community. Mrs. Thompson was an active member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Sandersville, Georgia where she was active as a Stewardess and choir member. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and shopping until her health failed.

She was married to the late Mr. Willie Lee Thompson, Sr.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Rosetta (Phillip) Thompson Williams, Panama City, Florida, Ms. Bernell Thompson Williams, Mrs. Beverly (Ray) Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia; three sons: Mr. Willie Lee (Ola Mae) Thompson, Mr. Calvin Thompson, Mr. Reginald Thompson, Sandersville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several other relatives and friends.
