Mrs. Lillian Lewis

Mrs. Lillian Lewis, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Middle Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Jeffery Crenshaw officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis was a resident of New York City, New York where many of the neighborhood children still referred to her as Mom. She was employed for the Board of Education until her retirement.

Mrs. Lewis was a faithful member of St. Johns Baptist Church, New York where her pastor is she served as a Greeter under the pastorship of Rev. John L. Scott.

Mrs. Lewis joined Middle Hill Baptist Church, her family church, at a tender age, where she served faithfully until her adulthood.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son: Mr. Alfonza (Vee) Lewis, East Orange, New Jersey; daughter: Ms. Gwendolyn Lewis, New York, New York. Sister: Mrs. Mamie Reeves, Sandersville, Georgia. Husband: Mr. Eddie Lee Lewis, Jr. Decatur, Georgia. Seven grandchildren: Shawnte, Brian, Keith, Alexis, Al, Jr., Keenon, Alex. Five great grandchildren. Several other relatives and friends. M.C.
