Mr. Eddie J. Harris

Mr. Eddie J. Harris, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Hatcher officiating. Interment was held in Henderson Grove A.M.E. Church Cemetery. The body lied in state from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.

He was born on October 7, 1951 in Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Smith Harris, Jr. and the late Ms. Susie M. Gordon.

He was preceded in death by his son: Mr. Terrence Jordan.

Mr. Harris leaves to mourn ten children: Mr. Eddie J. Harris, Jr., Ms. Syretta Harris, Ms. Tia Harris, Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Sonya (Justin) Davis, Ms. Cassandra Harris, Washington, Georgia, Mrs. Teresa (Chris) Jackson, College Park, Georgia, Ms. Layla Harris, Mr. Kamrn Smith, Ms. Anaria Smith, Ms. Tre’Niya Lopez, Lake Wales, Florida; three sisters: Mrs. Rochelle (Cleveland) Fleming, Ms. Judy Jennette, Mrs. Joyce (Willie) Gardner, Sandersville, Georgia; four brothers: Mr. Smith Harris, III, Mr. Jimmie (Tonya) Sanders, Mr. Ronnie (Jackie) Harris, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Earl “Pedro” Gordon, Milledgeville, Georgia; four aunts: Mrs. Henrietta Dixon, Mrs. Christine Harris, Mrs. Valestine (Johnny) Carey, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Sarah Gordon, Bronx, New York; seven grandchildren; devoted friends: Mr. Sam Evans, Mr. George Hamilton, Ms. Glenda Smith, Ms. Marjorie Jones, Mr. Willie Coneway, Mrs. Katina Coneway, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center Staff, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
