Ms. Annie Lou Biggins
Ms. Annie Lou Biggins, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home in Wrightsville, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Green Grove Baptist Church in Sandersville, Georgia with Rev. Jonathan Lewis officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
She was born December 27, 1929 to the parentage of the late Mr. Tom Biggins and the late Mrs. Mary Lizzie Irwin Biggins Madison.
Ms. Biggins received her education from the Royal School in Sandersville. At an early age, she joined Green Grove Baptist Church. Lou was self-employed as a beautician for sixty plus years until her health failed. She mastered one of the greatest inventions ever created, “the straightening comb.”
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Mrs. Mildred Owens, Mrs. Juanita Wadley, Ms. Marie Biggins; one brother: Mr. Toncie Lee Irwin; and a stepbrother: Mr. Lewis Madison.
Ms. Biggins is survived by five children: Ms. Dorothy L. Biggins, Ms. Rochelle Biggins, Mr. Carl V. Biggins, Sr., Mr. Donell (Carla) Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Marcus Biggins, Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters: Ms. Ida Mae Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs Mary Lizzie Womble, Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren: Mr. Brandon Biggins, Mr. Carl V. Biggins, Jr., Ms. Alexis Monae Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia; several other relatives and friends. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
