Mr. Alvin Johnson

Mr. Alvin Johnson, affectionately known as "PopP, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at First Community Baptist Church, located at 422 Hospital Road, Sandersville, Georgia, with Rev. Derenzia Johnson officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born February 12, 1958 to the parentage of Mrs. Earnestine Johnson and the late Mr. Herbert Johnson, Sr.

“Pop” was well known throughout the state of Georgia for his Pine Straw/Landscaping Business.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Mr. Ernest Johnson and Mr. Herbert Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memories three sons: Mr. Darryl Johnson, Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Mandela Brown, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Jerel (Shanique) Lewis, Florida; mother: Mrs. Earnestine Johnson, Sandersville, Georgia; three sisters: Ms. Alice Beyah, Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Gloria Jean (Robert) Smith, Virginia, Mrs. Sandra (Mark) Frazier, Lithonia, Georgia; three brothers: Mr. Jimmie (Patricia) Johnson, Lithonia, Georgia, Mr. Troy (Renee) Johnson, Mr. John Willie Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted nephew: Rev. Dr. DeRienza (Vernice) Johnson, Bellville, Illinois; devoted niece: Ms. Zakeyyah Johnson, Lithonia, Georgia; devoted friend: Ms. Virginia Risby; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
