Mr. Arthur "Tootsie Boy" Brinson, Jr.



Mr. Arthur Brinson, Jr., affectionately known as "Tootsie Boy," of the Tennille Community, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Hill Baptist Church with Bishop Jessie Mountain, officiating. Interment was held in the church Cemetery.


Mr. Arthur Brinson, Jr., departed this life on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Washington County Regional Medical Center, Sandersville, Georgia. 


Mr. Brinson was born on October 28, 1947 to the parentage of the late Mr. Arthur Brinson, Sr.  and the late Mrs. Mary L. Scott.


He was a loving  father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather.  “Tootsie Boy” as we would call him was a family man, always ready to crack a joke.


His main hobbies were to watch old classics such as “Gunsmoke” and Little House on the Prairie”. 


He worked for over 30 years at the construction company known as W.F. Jackson where he later retired.


Mr. Brinson leaves cherished memories to his  children: Ms. Ebonique Michol Poole, Mr. Arthur Brinson, III, Ms. Michelle Denise Poole, Sandersville, Georgia;  three sisters:  Ms. Helen Taylor, Atlanta, Georgia,  Ms. Eddie Mae Wilson, Tennille, Georgia Ms. Mary Scott, Sandersville; brother: Mr. Jimmy Brinson, Tennille, Georgia; sister-in-law: Ms. Bobbie Scott; seven grandchildren: Mr. Stanekico Tavarus Poole, Ms. Tyteanna Brensha Poole, Ms. Amere Chenelle Brinson, Mr. Armon Malik Brinson, Ms. Alaila Chauntrice Brinson,Mr. Zacharian D’Andre Dixon and Ms. Paris Asharah Walls; two great grandchildren: Mr. Braylan Vonshon Poole, Ms. Bryleigh Tationa Poole;  a host of many other relatives and friends.
