Mr. Clinton Warthen, Sr.




Mr. Clinton Warthen, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with Rev. Earlston DeSilva officiating. Interment was held in the Woodlawn City Cemetery.

Mr. Clinton Warthen, Sr., departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2024 at his residence.


He was born on November 28, 1953 to the parentage of the late Mr. Jethroe Warthen, Sr. and the late Mrs. Dorothy Floyd Warthen.


Mr. Warthen was a proud graduate of Washington County High School with the class of 1972. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church.


He served three years in the United States Army. He retired from J.M. Huber and had a long employment history with M.C. Smith Enterprises. He had a passion for carpentry work and fixing things. He loved people and had a kind and giving spirit.


Mr. Warthen leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Ms. Trinia Warthen, Mr.    Clinton Warthen, Jr., Mr. Eric Warthen, Mr. Marco Kelsey; three sisters: Mrs. Dorothy Mary Barnette, Mrs. Elaine Biggins, Ms. Notia Mae Warthen; three brothers: Mr. Stanley Warthen, Mr. Randolph Warthen, Mr. Emory Warthen; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
