Mr. Eugene Smith, Jr.

Mr. Eugene Smith, Jr., affectionately known as “JuneBug”,departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Pine Pointe Hospice, Macon, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Green Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Lewis officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born on February 7, 1949 to the parentage of the late Mr. Eugene Smith, Sr. and the late Mrs. Bertha Miller Smith.

He was a member of Washington County High School Class of 1968.

Mr. Smith was employed by Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia and Georgia Department of Transportation in Tennille, Georgia for many years.

JuneBug loved fishing, hunting, doing puzzle books, talking on his cellphone and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Ella Clair Harper Smith and two brothers: Mr. Emory Smith and Mr. William Miller.

Mr. Smith leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter: Mrs. Alinda (Raymond) Stafford, Sandersville, Georgia; one son: Mr. Preston (Patrice) Smith, Tennille, Georgia; four grandchildren: Mr. Jacoby Smith, Mr. Elijah Smith, Tennille, Georgia, Mrs. Tynisha (Broderick) Yorker, Mr. Raymond Stafford, Jr., Sandersville, Georgia; two great grandchildren: Kingston Hall, Baby Yorker, Sandersville, Georgia; one aunt: Ms. Lula Miller, Sandersville, Georgia; three uncles: Mr. Eddie Lee Miller, Mr. O.J. Miller, Sandersville, Georgia; Mr. Roy Miller, Bristol, Pennsylvania; three sisters-in-law: Ms. Louise Hunt, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Danny Miller, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Idonia Harper, Grandview, Missouri; goddaughter: Ms. Regina Wells; a host of other relatives and friends. .
