Mr. Hassan Glasgow


Mr. Hassan Glasgow passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Augusta, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at New Birth Christian Ministries with Senior Pastor Patrick Wilson, Sr. officiating. Interment was held in Union Hill Baptist Church cemetery.


Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow was born on March 3, 1993, in Key West, FL to Ms. Darlene Mathis and Mr. Edward Glasgow. Hassan was called to fill his position in Heaven on September 25, 2022.


He was a member of the Washington County Class of 2011 and graduated from King's Fork High School in Suffolk, VA. He was employed at Cogent with Emory University in Atlanta, GA as a Computer Support Specialist.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mrs. Carolyn Duggan, Mr. Edward Glasgow, Sr., and his Big Brother Mr. Malik Glasgow.


Mr. Glasgow is survived by his loving mother: Ms. Darlene Mathis (Eric Ingram), Sandersville, Georgia; loving father: Mr. Edward (Sherry) Glasgow, Suffolk, Virginia; devoted niece & surrogate daughter: Ms. Malyja Glasgow; two stepbrothers: Mr. Kennard Phelps, Mr. Dameon Rosser, Petersburg, Virginia; grandparents: Mr. Harvey (Yvonne) Mathis, Lithonia, Georgia, Ms. Mary Alexander, Plainfield, New Jersey; four uncles: Mr. Carmichael (Darnise) James, Ellenwood, Georgia, Mr. Harvey (LaTasha) Darrisaw, Tennille, Georgia, Mr. Christopher (Lashawna) Davis, Norfolk, Virginia, Mr. James Hawkins, Plainfield, New Jersey; six great aunts: Mrs. Mary Alice (James) Duggan, Ms. Rochelle Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Bernice (David) Jones, Detroit, Michigan, Ms. Mary Mathis, Dublin, Georgia, Mrs. Ellean (George) Thomas, New Castle, Delaware, Ms. Irish Garrett, Summerville, South Carolina; four great uncles: Mr. Richard (Louise) Mathis, Decatur, Georgia, Mr. Charles Mathis, Warner Robins, Georgia, Mr. Darnell (Carla) Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Marcus Biggins, Atlanta, Georgia; devoted cousins: Ms. Shakeivia Robinson, Ms. Taylor Williams, Mr. Carlos Mathis; several other relatives and friends. M. C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.


The family will be receiving visitors on Thursday and Friday, September 29-30, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 574 Plantation Drive Sandersville, Georgia.
