Mr. Herman Collins

Mr. Herman Collins, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Robin Springs Baptist Church. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

He was born to the late Mr. Glenn M. Collins, Sr. and the late Mrs. Matilda Cato Collins on April 28, 1946 in Sandersville, Georgia.

Mr. Collins graduated from T.J. Elder High School in the class of 1965. Early in life, he was baptized at Robin Springs Baptist Church where he later served as a deacon.

Herman served two years in the United States Army after graduating high school. After twenty-six (26) years, he retired from BASF in McIntyre, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Mr. John Ed Collins, Mr. Julian Collins, Mr. Glenn M. Collins, Jr. and two sisters: Ms. Elizabeth Sampson and Ms. Byelee Brown.

Mr. Collins leaves cherished memories to a devoted wife: Mrs. Virgie L. Collins; one daughter: Mrs. Leeandra (Willie) Carr; two sons: Mr. Travis (Audrey) Collins, Mr. Gemayel (Kendra) Collins; three sisters: Ms. Matilda Collins, Mrs. Mary Jane (Leroy) Moye, Ms. Naomi Chavis; six grandchildren: Jamarrion, Hayden, Kaden, Kaylee, Gavin, Londyn; a host of other relatives and friends.
