Mr. James Braswell, Jr.

Mr. James Braswell, Jr. transitioned from life to reward on Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Washington County, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Salter Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Holmes officiating. Interment was held in Sandersville City Cemetery.

He was born on April 10, 1956 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Gussie Mae Braswell and Mr. James Braswell, Sr.

Mr. Braswell received his education in Johnson County, Georgia. He did what he loved most, drive trucks. He spent most of his years driving for Ryder Transport.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Mr. Willie Lee Dixon, Mr. Clinton Dixon, Mr. John Lee Dixon, Mr. Tommy Lee Lemon and four sisters: Ms. Elizabeth Dixon, Mrs. Irene Braswell Dennis, Mrs. Doris Braswell Wynn and Mrs. Linda (John) Williams.

Mr. Braswell leaves cherished memories to his wife: Mrs. Gwendolyn Lane Braswell; children: Mr. Reco (Shawanna) Moye, Mr. Ernest (Linda) Johnson, Mrs. Veronica (Everett) Evans, Ms. Patricia Lane, Ms. Shanika Lane, Ms. Chimere Lane; one sister: Mrs. Ruby (Sylvester) Smith; one niece: Ms. Carolyn Wynn; three nephews: Mr. Daryl Braswell, Mr. Michael Dennis, Mr. Wiley Dennis; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
