Mr. Jessie Reynolds
Mr. Jessie Reynolds, affectionately known as "Bro", passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Piney Mount Baptist Church, Warthen, Georgia with Rev. Roy Grissom officiating.
He was born on March 2, 1944 in Washington County, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Mr. Isaiah Reynolds, Sr. and the late Mrs. Robbie Mae Harris Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds was a graduate of T.J. Elder High School Class of 1962, where he was a drummer in the marching band. He was a participant in the Washington County Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s. He enjoyed conversing about civil, current and political events. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
At an early age, he joined Piney Mount Baptist Church. In his younger years, he was a well known barber in the Sandersville, area. Working at Hook’s Barbershop is where he enhanced his barber skills.
Mr. Reynolds was joined in holy matrimony to the late Ms. Ozie May Fraley of Sandersville, Georgia. Their union was blessed with one son.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Ozie Mae Reynolds; brother Mr. P.Q. (Q.P) Reynolds and a niece: Mrs. Jackie R. Thomas.
Mr. Reynolds leaves cherished memories to his son: Mr. Stacy Reynolds, Detroit, Michigan; granddaughter: Ms. Sharina Shay Reynolds, Detroit, Michigan; two great-grandchildren: Mr. Sekani Muhammad, Ms. Sekai Muhammad, Detroit, Michigan; two sisters: Ms. Leona Ross, Ms. Sadie Lane, Sandersville, Georgia; brother: Mr. Isaiah Reynolds, Jr., Douglasville, Georgia; three nieces: Mrs. Belinda Reynolds (Charlie) Poole, Milledgeville, Georgia, Ms. Kimberly Reynolds, Woodstock, Georgia, Ms. Tina Burke, Macon, Georgia; two nephews: Mr. Kenneth Reynolds, Atlanta, Georgia, Pastor Ron Jackson, Sandersville, Georgia; dedicated care provider and friend: Mr. Jack Morris; a host of other relatives and friends.
