Mr. Larry Betha


Mr. Larry Betha, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Hatcher officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.


God was walking in His garden, one He made with His own hands. The sun was shining on each blossom, young and old, throughout all lands. In our church, He walked still searching for a lovely, full grown flower; pausing here He found one ready to be taken at that hour.


On Sunday evening, September 3, 2023, God sent His Holy Angels to call our dear loved one away.


Mr. Larry Betha was born on August 31, 1959 to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie Lee Betha and the late Mrs. Helen Ford Betha.


He loved spending time with family and friends and was never a stranger to anyone.


Mr. Betha loved working and was always helping out in any way that he could. He was the owner of Betha Heating and Cooling for over thirty (30) years.


He was preceded in death by one sister: Mrs. Betty Betha Cooper and two brothers: Mr. Louis Betha and Mr. William Betha.


His infectious smile touched the hearts of many and he will truly be missed.


Mr. Betha leaves cherished memories to his devoted fiancé: Ms. Sonya Yorker, Sandersville, Georgia; four daughters: Ms. Chelsea Jackson, Ms. Lar’Kara Betha, Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Shenice Betha, Warner Robins, Georgia, Mrs. Ambreia (Hiram) Johnson, Sandersville, Georgia; one son: Mr. Justin (Shantrell) Gilmore, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted sister: Ms. Barbara Betha, Sandersville, Georgia; six grandchildren: Makenna Betha, Hayla Johnson, Haylen Johnson, Ja’mir Gilmore, Brayden Gilmore, Ja’vontae Redding; two aunts: Ms. Rosa Sallet, New York, Ms. Mary Neil Carr, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted mother-in-love: Mrs. Ethel Yorker, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted cousin: Mr. Derek Ford: devoted mentor: Mr. Horace Daniel; devoted friends: Mr. Michael Brantley, Mr. Bobby Williams, Mr. Terry Miller, Mr. Gregory Cooper, Mr. Harold Hicks, Mr. Leroy Pierce and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
