Mr. Marcus Poole
Mr. Marcus Poole passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Augusta University Hospital. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Bethesda Christian Church with Rev. Clifford Hunter officiating.
Mr. Marcus Marquis Poole was born on January 12, 1981 to bless the parentage of Mr. John Poole, Jr. and the late Mrs. Mary Harper Poole. He was the youngest and the only son of two children.
Marcus was an all-around comical and fun loving man. He was well known and never came across anyone he was unfamiliar with. To know Marcus was to love Marcus inside and out.
He was a graduate of Washington County High School class of 1999. Throughout his years of high school, he developed a passion for playing football where he played for the Washington County Golden Hawks and continued that passion by playing for his college, Georgia Southern University. He was an easy going and humorous man.
Marcus worked at Zorlu Manufacturing Company for many years. After leaving Zorlu, he continued his journey as being a transporter for P&P Transportation.
On December 3, 2021, he married his better half, Ms. Dorothy Evans.
He was preceded in death by his sister: Ms. Macqusia Payne.
Affectionately known as Marc, his ball game came to an end late Friday morning, March 3, 2023 at Augusta University Health Center after a long and hard fight.
Marcus leaves cherished and endless memories with his wife: Mrs. Dorothy Evans Poole, Tennille, Georgia; son: Mr. Hezekiah Sutton: Sandersville, Georgia; step-daughters: Ms. Amere Brinson, Ms. Ayanna Evans, Tennille, Georgia; father: Mr. John Poole, Jr.; niece: Mrs. Jhakeria Harris (Moziah) Jackson, Milledgeville, Georgia; mother-in-law: Ms. Annie Parker, Sandersville, Georgia; aunts: Ms. Glenda Freeman, Ms. Rochelle Poole, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Katie Dunn, Mrs. Diann (Alvin) Butts, Ms. Annie Will Hurst, Tennille, Georgia; uncles: Mr. Sammie Poole, Atlanta, Georgia; Mr. Roger Watts, Jr., Macon, Georgia; sisters-in-law: Ms. Shetangy Salter (Calondrius), Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Leila Evans, Athens, Georgia; brothers-in-law: Mr. Timothy (Janis) Evans, Hephzibah, Georgia, Mr. Stephon (Constance) Parker, McDonough, Georgia, Mr. Joseph Evans, Jr., South Carolina, brother figure: Mr. Derrick Dunn; devoted friend: Mr. Jeffrey Credle; a host of other relatives and friends.
