Mr. Ned Jordan
Mr. Ned Jordan, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at a local hospital. Graveside services were held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Camp Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Mitchell officiating.
He was born on July 25, 1930 to the parentage of the late Mr. Adam Jordan and the late Ms. Effie Grier.
Mr. Jordan worked at H.L. McCaskill Construction Company for many years until its closure. After their closure, he worked at Burgess Pigment Kaolin Plant for close to thirty years until he retired.
He loved to fish, watch baseball and football, the Falcons and Braves. His favorite baseball player was Reggie Jackson. He loved watching The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, Martin and Dr. Phil. He especially loved Redd Foxx and Bob Barker and The Price is Right.
Mr. Jordan leaves cherished memories to his loving wife of sixty two years: Mrs. Jessie Rene Jordan, Harrison, Georgia; seven children: Mr. Willie James Warthen, Sr., Mr. Stewart Jordan, Ms. Annie Jordan, Harrison, Georgia, Mr. Nelson (Veronica) Jordan, Mr. Walter (Geneva) Jordan, Mrs. Janice (Roger) Owens, Tennille, Georgia, Mrs. Carol (Roger) Wimbley, Wrightsville, Georgia; four sisters: Mrs. Eleva (Henton) Taylor, Riddleville, Georgia, Ms. Emma Louise Macklin, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Sharon Hutchings, Gray, Georgia, Ms. Annie Laura Smith, Saluda, South Carolina; mother-in-law: Ms. Mabell Dixon, Sandersville, Georgia; eight sisters-in-law: Ms. Lucile Oatman, Warrenton, Georgia, Ms. Mary Julia Warthen, Thomson, Georgia, Ms. Betty White, Ms. Mabel Brown, Ms. Louise Swint, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Pearlie White, Grovetown, Georgia, Ms. Louvenia Johnson, Hinesville, Georgia, Mrs. Betty Mae (Alex) Scott, Louisville, Georgia; seven brothers-in-law: Mr. Napolean Warthen, Jr., Harrison, Georgia, Mr. Levi (Bernestine) White, III, Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Richard (Helen) White, Milledgeville, Georgia, Mr. Ralph (Renee) Warthen, Shelby, North Carolina, Mr. Jesse Lee Warthen, Augusta, Georgia, Mr. Sylvester Neal, Macon, Georgia, Mr. Dean Salter, Sandersville, Georgia; devoted grandchild: Mr. Tyrone Jordan, Harrison, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Mr. Jeremiah Warthen, Poughkeepsie, New York, Mr. Willie James Warthen, Ms. Sherlonda Wimbley, Tennille, Georgia, Ms. Cassandra Wimbley, Mr. Walter Jermaine Jordan, Mr. Keldrick Jordan, Wrightsville, Georgia, Mr. Roderick Wimbley, Sandersville, Georgia; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
