Mr. Pedro Mason

Mr. Pedro Mason, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Pruitt Nursing Home, Swainsboro, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at China Temple Holiness Church in Wrightsville, Georgia with Dr. James Mason, Sr. officiating. Interment was held in the Mason Family Cemetery located at 497 Shepard Rd. Wrightsville, Georgia.

Mr. Mason was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Ozzie Mason, Sr. and the late Mrs. Bessie Ann Mason on January 10, 1951 in Johnson County, Georgia.

He attended the Dock Kemp School and was a graduate with the class of 1970.

At an early age, Pedro became a member of China Temple Holiness Church in Wrightsville, Georgia. As years passed, he joined Solomon’s Temple International Ministry in Swainsboro, Georgia.

Pedro was a people person, there were many times he would be in his wheelchair touring the halls of Pruitt Health. He would be from the front door to the halls and kitchen and break area at the center. On many visits, he would look forward to getting his peppermint candy. He loved watching tv and visiting the country.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Mr. Thurman Mason, Sr., Pastor Alvin Mason, Sr., Pastor Douglas Mason, Sr., Mrs. Kellar Blair Akins, Mrs. Marshelia Mason Elbert and Mrs. Bessie Lou Stahl.

Mr. Mason leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers: Bishop Ozzie (Dr. Rose Mary) Mason, Meriden, Connecticut, Dr. James Russell Mason, Swainsboro, Georgia, Mr. Ellis Mason, Sr., Bartow, Georgia; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Mary Mason, Jacksonville, Florida; a host of other relatives and friends.
