Mr. Raymond Johnson, Sr.

Mr. Raymond Johnson, Sr. passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Dixon Grove COGIC with Elder Jeremiah Wooten officiating.

He was born in Tennille, Georgia on March 7, 1945 to the parentage of the late Ms. Essie Fields Temple and the late Mr. Audrow Johnson.

Mr. Johnson moved to Tampa, Florida at an early age. He worked for the City of Tampa for forty two (42) years.

Raymond never met a stranger; always joking and making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Mr. Jessie Miller, Jr., Mr. Arthur Lee Temple and sisters: Ms. Daisy Miller, Ms. Jacqueline Temple and Ms. Wyomie Dixon.

Mr. Johnson leaves cherished memories, to his loving wife: Mrs. Irene Johnson, Tampa, Florida; two daughters: Ms. Carolyn Davis, Ms. Alecia Johnson, Tampa, Florida; three sons: Mr. Raymond G. Johnson, Jr., Mr. Michael A. Johnson, Mr. Cedric Johnson, Tampa, Florida; two sisters: Ms. Janice Temple, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Sadie (Billy) Jones, Tennille, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Frank Johnson, Mr. Rufus Johnson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; devoted cousin: Ms. Addie L. Roberson; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. M. C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
