Mr. Roy Harden

Mr. Roy Harden departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Samuel Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Eric T. Adams officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Harden was born on April 13, 1941 to the parentage of the late Mr. Will Harden and Mrs. Kate Harden.

He attended the public schools of Washington County. Mr. Harden was employed by Engelhard as an electrician for over forty years.

In his spare time Mr. Harden enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Harden leaves cherished memories to his wife: Mrs. Lizzie Mae Harden; one daughter: Ms. Tomika Harden; four sons: Mr. Horace Harden, Mr. Richard Harden, Mr. Jeffery Harden, Mr. Antonio Ivey; six sisters-in-law: Ms. Ida Mae Harden, Ms. Elizabeth Harden, Mrs. Mary Helen (Ernest) Sampson, Ms. Ann Lois Thomas, Ms. Brenda Moment, Ms. Grace Jordan; one brother-in-law: Mr. James Willie (Jackie) Thomas; nephew raised in his home: Mr. Leroy Hurst; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
