Mr. Sammie Lee Watts, Jr.
Mr. Sammie Lee Watts, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Pastor Rufus Copeland officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

A Time To Be Born
Mr. Sammie Lee Watts, Jr., affectionately known as “Turk”, was born on December 1, 1956 in Deepstep, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Mr. Sammie Lee Watts, Sr. and the late Mrs. Barbara Jones Watts.
A Time To Grow
Mr. Watts was a pillar in the community, an exceptional man who modeled services before self and having faith without compliant, knowing God always delivers on his promises.
At an early age, Sammie confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He joined and was baptized at Mount Sinai Baptist Church. He served faithfully on the deacon board.
Sammie attended and graduated from Washington County High School with a diploma in General Construction. He was employed for forty seven (47) years at Burgess Pigment Corporation. After retirement, he went back to his first love, general construction where he enjoyed flipping houses for Town and Country.
A Time To Die
He departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Washington County Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Watts leaves to cherish his memories, devoted friend: Ms. Elaine Archer; five loving children: Mr. Andre Scott (Shayla), Mrs. Sakeitha (Marquez, Sr.) Little, Mr. Quovius Terrell Taylor, Mrs. Gelisa (Mike) Manning, Mr. Darius Watts; four sisters: Mrs. Loretha Adkins, Mrs. Brenda (Edward) Simmons, Mrs. Nora (Bobby) Hall, Mrs. Mary (Larry) Boswell; two brothers: Mr. Willie Mack (Joann) Watts, Mr. James (Jackie) Watts; ten wonderful grandchildren: Jiquez Tucker, Marquez Little, Jr., MarQuavis Little, Joshua Manning, Kiara Manning, Andrenequa Archer, Andre Archer, Andreiana Scott, Andreiko Scott, Xaveion Mills; two uncles: Mr. Booker T. Jones, Mr. Louis Jones; six aunts: Mrs. Betty Jones, Mrs. Dorothy Battle, Mrs. Corene Veal, Ms. Marion Watts, Mrs. Betty Poole, Mrs. Lillie Mae Cato; six adorable great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
