Mr. Sylvester Smith

Mr. Sylvester Smith, Statesboro, Georgia died on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at East Georgia Medical Center, Statesboro, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Salter Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Holmes officiating. Interment was held in Sandersville City Cemetery .

He was the youngest of thirteen children born on December 11, 1949 to the parentage of the late Mr. Enoch Smith and Mrs. Rowmena Salter Smith.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of the Dock Kemp High School in Wrightsville, Georgia.

He was employed for twenty five years as a fork lift driver at Smith Tombler Warehouse in Miami, Florida. After forty five years, he relocated back to Georgia.

Mr. Smith leaves cherished memories to his wife of fifty three (53) years: Mrs. Ruby Braswell Smith; five godchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. M. C. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
