Mr. William Harris, Jr. "Dutt"

Mr. William Harris, Jr., affectionately known as "Dutt," passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Navicent Health Baldwin. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 21,2024 at 3:00 PM at Springfield Baptist Church located at 415 W. Church St., Sandersville, Georgia 31082, with Rev. Loretta Middleton officiating. Interment was held in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

He was born on April 8, 1952 in Sandersville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. William Arthur Harris, Sr. and the late Mrs. Maxine Harris.

Mr. Harris was a U.S. Army Veteran Combat  Engineer. He served his country faithfully. He   also worked for Smith Shepherd Company  and Baldwin Builders Supply for many years. Dutt was a die hard fan of the Atlanta Braves, Falcons and Hawks and the Georgia Bulldogs.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Ms. Brenda Jean Harris and Ms. Pendric Harris

Mr. Harris leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters: Ms. Louise Harris, Ms. Shelia Harris, Mrs. Robin (Rodney, Sr.) Griffin; one brother: Mr. Cleveland (Christy) Harris, Sr.; one aunt: Mrs. Thelma Jackson; two nieces: Ms. Pamela Miller, Ms. Shaferia Harris: seven nephews: Mr. Lewis Miller, III, Mr. Rodney Griffin, Jr., Mr.  Cleveland Harris, Jr., Mr. Martio Harris, Mr. Elvae Harris, Mr. Ky’andre Harris, Mr. Brennen   Harris; a host of other relatives and friends.
