I did not choose to go away, but God told me I could not stay. He reached for me with loving care, now dry your eyes and remember me….for I am free.

The beautiful life of the lovable, friendly and admirable, Mrs. Dorothy Louise Outlaw-Devero, ended as she accepted the Savior’s call, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Washington County Regional Medical Center.

She was the first born to the late Mr. Eddie Rufus and the late Mrs. Ella Darrisaw-Outlaw, on Thursday, December 23, 1937.

At an early age, she joined Burnett Grove AME Church where she remained an active/faithful member until her health failed.

In 1953, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Climmie Devero.

Mrs. Devero enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Most often she was the life of the party, blunt and to the point. Her favorite quote was, “I said what I said.” She always enjoyed a good laugh and making others laugh, that was Lou. To know her was to love her.
