Mrs. Gladys Daniels, 340 Hines Street, Sandersville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services were held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Rose Johnson Mackey officiating.
Mrs. Gladys Harmon Daniels departed this life at her residence on Saturday, December 18, 2021 with her beloved family at her side.
Mrs. Daniels was born on February 9, 1935 to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie Harmon and Ms. Della Warthen. She was also blessed with bonus parents, the late Mrs. Leola and Mr. Willie D. Chain, Sr.
She attended T.J. Elder High School in Washington County, Georgia. She was a faithful member of St. Paul AME Church, Sandersville, Georgia
Mrs. Daniels was an employee of Delta Apparel where she retired. She was a faithful employee who never missed a day of work. She loved her job dearly from
Duckhead to Royal MFG Co.
She had a passion for taking care of her yard and planting her outside flowers. She loved cooking every Sunday, walking in the neighborhood and sitting on the porch in her rocking chair. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren near and far.
Mrs. Daniels leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Mrs. Ann Davis, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Marilyn (Chris) Forrest, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Ms. Loretta Hodges, Ms. Betty Jo Hodges, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. Eddie Hodges, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ms. Angela Hodges, Tennille, Georgia; brother: Mr. Willie D. (Betty) Chain, Jr., Harrison, Georgia; devoted cousins: Mrs. Alma Jean Lane, Ms. Debbie Washington, Ms. Carolyn Washington, Mrs. Mattie Jordan, Mr. Frank (Sara) Simmons, Sandersville, Georgia, Mrs. Ethel Lee Hodges, Bartow, Georgia; devoted friends: Ms. Dorothy Howard, Ms. Millirene Thomas, Mrs. Annie Pearl Johnson, Mr. Eddie Ray (Trina) Latimore, Mr. Jeffery Gundy, Mr. Charlie Haynes; fourteen (14) grandchildren; thirteen (13) great grandchildren; eleven (11) great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
