Mrs. Lissie Mae Hodges

Mrs. Lissie M. Dixon Hodges was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world at the age of eighty (80) on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at New Birth Christian Ministries with Senior Pastor Patrick Wilson, Sr. officiating. Interment held privately by the family.

Mrs. Hodges was born in Washington County, Georgia to the late Mr. J.L. Dixon and Mrs. Cillar M. London Dixon Robinson on August 24, 1942.

She was educated in the Johnson County Public School System. Lissie was a member of Daniel Grove C.O.G.I.C.

Lissie was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Thomas Hodges. They relocated to Vauxhall, New Jersey and later Roselle, New Jersey where she resided for forty (40) years. From this union, they shared two children and a stepson.

In the early 2000s, Lissie relocated to Tennille, Georgia where she remained until her death.

Lissie was fiery and outspoken and was very proud of her family. She was generous in a very quiet manner and was exceptionally proud of her culinary skills. If the food served didn't have garnish on the side, it was not complete.
