Mrs. Pauline Braswell


Mrs. Pauline Braswell, 406 Spring Street, Sandersville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rose Mackey officiating.


Mrs. Pauline Cainion Braswell, daughter of the late Mr. Leavy Cainion and the late Mrs. Jessie Scott Cainion was born in Seminole County.


Pauline grew up in Donalsonville, Georgia where she attended the public schools of the county. She graduated from the Seminole Training School and went on to college where she earned her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State College which is now Savannah State University. After graduation, Pauline moved to Sandersville, Georgia and taught both elementary and high school for Washington County.


After thirty two years of service, Pauline continued to work substitute teaching. Pauline loved her children and in return they loved her.


She also had a love for teaching Sunday School. An active member of St. Paul AME Church, she served on the Missionary Board, Stewardess Board, Trustee Board, Class Leader and Sunday School teacher. She was always a willing participant to serve and always willing to help anyone in need. Pauline worked with several different missions and ministries to serve to the needs of the church.


Pauline was also known for her work in the community. She was a member of NBPW (National Business and Professional Women Club) and participated in the organizing of the Elderite Center.


On Saturday, July 31, 2021, with her daughter by her side, Pauline received her angel wings and was called home to take her rest. God was pleased with her earthly deeds and now eternal life awaits with glorious rewards.


Mrs. Braswell leaves to cherish her memories, a loving daughter: Mrs. Tracy (Jessie) Stafford Morgan; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Verdine Cainion, Mrs. Helen, Cainion, Atlanta, Georgia; special god-sister: Ms. Sandra Stafford, Sandersville, Georgia; bonus daughter: Ms. Debra Lynn Johnson, Sandersville, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
