Mrs. Willie B. Morris

Mrs. Willie B. Morris passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Middle Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Morris was born on December 16, 1920 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Nora Battle and the late Mr. Jim Battle.

She was employed and retired from Smith Medical Nursing Care Center.

She was an outstanding cook who loved spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Morris was married to the late Mr. Jessie Lee Morris, Sr. until his death in 1965. From this union, fourteen (14) children were born; ten (10) boys and four (4) girls.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Mr. Horace Battle, Mr. Cleveland Jiles, Mr. Theotis Jiles; nine children: Mrs. Cora Lee Cummings, Mrs. Gloria Beacham, Mr. Jessie Morris, Jr., Mr. James E. Morris, Mr. Freddie B. Morris, Sr., Mr. Zelmon Morris, Mr. Tommy Morris, Mr. Jimmy Morris, Mr. Larry Morris and a grandson: Mr. Keith Morris.

Mrs. Morris leaves cherished memories to two daughters: Ms. Mary Danzy, Milledgeville, Georgia, Ms. Willie Louise Robinson, Sandersville, Georgia; three sons: Mr. Joe Morris, Mr. Jack Morris, Sandersville, Georgia, Mr. W.J. (Carol) Morris, Raleigh, North Carolina; bonus daughter: Ms. Annie Pearl Cummings; twenty eight (28) grandchildren; thirty nine (39) great grandchildren; twenty nine (29) great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
