Ms. Kimberly Cooper




Ms. Kimberly Cooper, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries. Interment was held in Limestone Church Cemetery.


Ms. Kimberly LaCrystal Cooper departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of forty-four.


Ms. Kimberly LaCrystal Cooper was born on November 17, 1979 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the parentage of Ms. Connie Cooper and the late Mr. Tommy Curtis Martin.


Kimberly received her early education through the Georgia Public School System in Tennille, Georgia up until the age of twelve when her family moved to Maryland. She graduated in 1999 from Fort Meade Senior High School in Fort Meade, Maryland. Kimberly went on to study at both Hampton University and

Howard University.


Throughout her life, Kimberly worked in various industries, starting her career as a Digital Media Assistant at Best Buy, where she later   became a supervisor. She worked as an Administrative Assistant  at Choice Hotels and Amazon, where she worked her way up to become an Office Manager. Kimberly was a versatile worker and was a part of Re-Set Team and Development.


In 2010, Kimberly took a bold step and became an entrepreneur by opening Kidz Korner Day Care Center in Laurel, Maryland while also working as an Administrative Assistant for a government contractor at the United States Coast Guard.


In 2019, she expanded her entrepreneurship to Georgia by opening her second day care center called Discovery Academy in Sandersville, Georgia. She was a member of  several organizations, including the Childcare Success Academy, ECE Circle Time, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Maryland State Education Association (MSEA) and the Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students (GEEARS).


Kimberly was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her laid-back style and eccentric ingenuity, her daredevil dreams and her love for life. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, visiting the gun range and traveling throughout the United States, London, Paris, Argentina, Aruba, Jamaica, Mexico, Hong Kong, Barbados, Bahamas and more. Above all, she will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family.


She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Ms. Avis Coleman of Georgia and her brother: Mr. Kevin Jackson of Ellicott City, Maryland.


Ms. Cooper leaves cherished memories to her parents: Mrs. Connie (Arthur) Henderson, Sr.; brothers: Mr. Kendall (T’Kia) Jackson, Sr., Mr. Kalvin Lamont Henderson, Mr. Arthur (Emma) Henderson, Jr.; grandfather: Mr. Charlie Coleman, Jr.; loving uncle: Mr. Bobby (LeKetha) Cooper; devoted aunts: Ms. Minnie L. Lamb, Ms. Linda M. Willis, Ms. Elizabeth Henderson, Ms. Viola Henderson, Ms. Helen C. Henderson, Ms. Oleatha Cordy, Ms. Rita Dixon,  Ms. Annie Martin;    devoted  uncles: Mr. Robert Henderson, Jr., Mr. Michael H. Henderson, Mr. Ricky L. Henderson, Mr. Michael Coleman, Mr. Keith (Karen) Coleman, Mr. Albert (Javalyn) Martin, Jr.; nephews: Rasheed Chapman, Raquan Chapman, Kendall LaTrell Jackson, Jr., Kamden Levi Jackson; niece: Kailee Larell Jackson; devoted friends: Mr. Keyone Swain, Ms. Brandi Edinburgh, Mr. Derrick Reid, Mr. Rico (Chantel) Martin, Ms. Christiana Atuboyedia, Ms. Veronica Sanders; special friend: Mr. Keith Brown; devoted cousins: Jasmine, Acacia, Jennifer, Anthony, Torri, Torrance, Sherry, Erica, Trellis, Tyree, Darion, Malcolm, Chantina, Mercedes, Shatara, Alex, Renata, DelWayne, James, Retta, Gretta, Tamika, Dee Dee, Marquita, Jakimva; a host of other relatives and friends. M.
