Ms. Marie Warthen

Ms. Marie Warthen passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at her residence. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Henry L. Tanner, officiating.

She was born on December 19, 1956 to the parentage of the late Mr. Jethroe Warthen, Sr. and Mrs. Doris Floyd Warthen.

Ms. Warthen was a proud graduate of Washington County High School with the class of 1975. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church.

Marie was employed at Waffle House in Sandersville, Georgia. She loved to cook, loved people and had a kind and giving spirit.

Ms. Warthen leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters: Mrs. Dorothy May Barnette, Mrs. Elaine Biggins, Sandersville, Georgia, Ms. Notia Mae Warthen, Indianapolis, Indiana; four brothers: Mr. Clinton Warthen, Sr., Mr. Stanley Warthen, Mr. Randolph Warthen, Mr. Emory Warthen, Sandersville, Georgia; one uncle: Mr. Julius Warthen, Sandersville,

Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
