Ms. Sally Darrisaw
Ms. Sally Ann Darrisaw, affectionately known as “Nina,” departed this life on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Washington County Regional Medical Center at the age of seventy four (74). A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she was a woman of compassion and faith. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Tennille Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Walden officiating. Interment was held in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Darrisaw was born on November 3, 1950 to the parentage of the late Mr. George Darrisaw and the late Mrs. Avant Arline Darrisaw in Wrightsville, Georgia.
She was a graduate of Washington County High School.
Ms. Darrisaw enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others first. She created a warm, welcoming environment where all felt loved and cared for. Her greatest joy was in the company of her grandchildren.
In addition to her family, Ms. Darrisaw was deeply committed to her church family. She was a member of Tennille Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia where she served on the missionary board faithfully.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Mr. Robert Lee (Doris) Darrisaw; sisters: Mrs. Essie Lee Peeler, Mrs. Marie Peeler, Ms. Mary Lee Darrisaw; grandson: Mr. Jastain Darrisaw.
Ms. Darrisaw leaves to cherish her memories, a beloved son: Mr. Broderick Darrisaw (Nikia Reese); two daughters: Mrs. Saketta (Curtis) Brown, Ms. Jessica Darrisaw (Dontavia); two sisters: Mrs. Dorothy (John) Swint, Mrs. Essie Mae (Calvin) Robinson; god-daughter: Ms. Nechelle Johnson; devoted niece: Ms. Lisa Bridges; five grandchildren: Chrysen Brown, Jestavious Darrisaw, Jyrrynn Jordan, Jevon Darrisaw, Jaccus Darrisaw; devoted friends: Rev. Jerry (First Lady Katherine) Walden; Rev. Joann Dunn, Minister Cathy Latimer, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Mrs. Della Mae Fraley, Ms. Lisa Green, Ms. Gladys Darrisaw, Mr. Larry Milner; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. M. C.
